At Affirming Access, we champion the rights, voices, and futures of neurodivergent young people across the LGBTIQA+SB community.
Our focus is on ensuring every young autistic and neurodivergent person—of every gender, sexuality, culture, and identity—knows how to access the supports they are entitled to, understands their rights, and feels confident advocating for themselves in systems that were not built with them in mind.
We work at the intersection of neurodivergence and queer identity to remove barriers, build self-advocacy skills, and create pathways to safer, more affirming services.
Affirming Access exists to make sure diversity is recognised, voices are heard, and young people can navigate services and support with pride, autonomy, and community beside them.

Interactive Workshops
We host engaging workshops for young people in Western Sydney and Sydney’s Inner West, designed to build skills in self-advocacy and empowerment. Participants gain the confidence to navigate the systems and advocate for their needs using fun and practical activities like role-playing and real-life scenario practice.
Inclusive Training for Service providers
We provide training for service providers to promote inclusive and respectful practices. This training equips workers to embrace neurodivergence and gender/sexual diversity, ensuring their services meet the unique needs of autistic LGBTIQA+SB individuals.
Accessible Resources
Our collection of resources includes videos, guides, and tools designed to simplify service systems for both participants and workers. These resources are created to break down complex processes, making services more approachable and understandable for everyone.
