At Affirming Access, we use participatory arts, creative workshops and shared making to build community, confidence and visibility for neurodivergent young people across the LGBTIQA+SB community. Our arts-led spaces support young people to explore identity, develop skills and have their talents recognised—while forming real connections with others.
Alongside this creative work, we support young autistic and neurodivergent people to understand their rights, access the supports they are entitled to and advocate for themselves within systems not designed with them in mind. Working at the intersection of neurodivergence and queer identity, Affirming Access exists so young people can move forward with pride, autonomy and community beside them

Interactive Workshops
We host engaging workshops for young people in Western Sydney and Sydney’s Inner West, designed to build skills in self-advocacy and empowerment. Participants gain the confidence to navigate the systems and advocate for their needs using fun and practical activities like role-playing and real-life scenario practice.
Inclusive Training for Service providers
We provide training for service providers to promote inclusive and respectful practices. This training equips workers to embrace neurodivergence and gender/sexual diversity, ensuring their services meet the unique needs of autistic LGBTIQA+SB individuals.
Accessible Resources
Our collection of resources includes videos, guides, and tools designed to simplify service systems for both participants and workers. These resources are created to break down complex processes, making services more approachable and understandable for everyone.
