You’re allowed to ask for safe people
You can ask for:
• A worker who knows about queer mob identities
• Someone who gets what it’s like to be Blak and neurodivergent
• Support that includes your language, family, and values
You can say:
“I want someone who respects my culture and my gender.”
“Don’t talk down to me.”
“You need to talk to me like I matter. All of me.”
You don’t have to explain everything
It’s not your job to educate everyone. But you can still speak your truth.
Tell your story how you want to. Take your time. You’re not too hard.
You’re not a problem to solve. You’re a whole person.
And if someone’s being disrespectful, you can stop the meeting and walk away.
You’re allowed to protect your peace.
You are whole, and you are strong
You don’t have to hide parts of yourself to get help.
You come from strong people. From culture. From ancestors who walked before you.
Being Blak or Pasifika, being queer, being neurodivergent—none of that is a weakness. It’s a gift. It’s what makes you you.
You deserve to be seen, heard, and treated with proper respect.
